On 14th February 2022, Dianto Reed Quintet won the first price of the 15th National Competition of “Villa de Cox” located in the small village of Cox, Alicante, Spain.

Out of 8 more ensembles, Dianto was very appreciated by the jury since the first moment. The jury, composed with 6 distinguished Spanish musicians, such as Federico Coca García (saxophonist) or Jaume Gavilán Agulló (trombonist), was amazed with Dianto’s intervention: “It was a rare proposal, even risky, but it works and surprised us in an astonishing way”.
