Dianto Reed Quintet is a chamber music group formed by five Spanish musicians based in Amsterdam. After studying in different conservatories across Spain, they got to know each other while pursuing their master’s degree at the ‘Conservatorium van Amsterdam’. The name of the group means carnation in Esperanto, and its members were also part of renowned youth national and international orchestras (JONDE, EUYO, NJO, jongNBE).
They are first prize winners of Concurso Juventudes Musicales de España 106ª convocatoria de cámara (2023), XV Concurso Nacional de Cámara Villa de Cox (2022), Grachtenfestival Conservatorium Concours (2021), Storioni Concours (2021), audience prize winners of Dutch Classical Talent (2023) and 3rd prize winner of XII Concurso de Música de Cámara Antón García Abril (2024). Recently, they also received the national award of Ensemble Emergente FestClásica 2024, besides being selected to be part of the concert circuit AIEnRUTa-Clásicos in Spain, and being also one of the 2024 YCAT finalists at Wigmore Hall, London.

They were also selected to be part of the Oorkaan-Jeunesse Academy, an intensive program in which not only musical aspects are learnt, but also other disciplines like mime, theater and dance. “Beyond being an interesting instrumental formation, they offer a new approach to the traditional chamber music concert, transforming it into a more interactive experience with the audience. They include choreographies to create a stronger connection with the audience, also providing a clear idea of the musical structures of the pieces they interpret.”
