programma waarin het verre verleden en het heden elkaar ontmoeten. We nemen het publiek mee naar werelden en tijden die ver van ons afstaan, met de muziek van onze voorouders en de instrumenten van Abraham Cupeiro, terwijl we tegelijkertijd verbonden blijven met het heden en onze moderne instrumenten. Daarbij gaan we veel verder terug dan de Renaissance of de Middeleeuwen; we keren terug naar de oorsprong van onze\ncultuur, waarbij muziek als universeel element door de tijd, culturen en continenten heen altijd een centrale rol heeft gespeeld.<\/p><p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><i>Pangea <\/i><\/span>(Grieks voor \u2018de hele aarde\u2019) verwijst naar het veronderstelde oorspronkelijke\nsupercontinent van zo\u2019n 300 miljoen jaar geleden. In zijn compositie onderzoekt Cupeiro\nverschillende \u2018primitieve\u2019 vormen van muzikale expressie, met zelfgebouwde instrumenten zoals de Karnyx (meer dan 2 meter lang), de Sjofar en de Hulusi. Zijn instrumentarium is zeer uitgebreid en divers, en weerspiegelt de verschillende continenten waaruit hij zijn inspiratie haalde. <span class=\"s1\"><i>Pangea <\/i><\/span>is een akoestisch historisch onderzoek naar het muzikale ecosysteem van onze verre voorouders.<\/p><p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><i>Fantasia en Jhalla <\/i><\/span>is een nieuw werk van Arjan Linker, speciaal geschreven in opdracht voor dit\nprogramma. <span class=\"s1\"><i>Fantasia <\/i><\/span>is een expressieve beweging die door verschillende Indiase ragas stroomt en voortdurend van kleur verandert. De versiering van de muziek is sterk ge\u00efnspireerd op tappa,\neen vorm van semi-klassieke Indiase muziek waarin zangers snelle, kleurrijke versieringen rondom de melodie zingen. Net zoals de Fuga de orde herstelt in een <span class=\"s1\"><i>Fantasie und Fuge<\/i><\/span>van J.S. Bach, wordt de stabiliteit hervonden in de <span class=\"s1\"><i>Jhalla<\/i><\/span>, gebaseerd op een onderdeel van de oudste nog\nlevende vorm van klassieke Indiase muziek: dhrupad. In dit snelle en groovende tweede deel\nvinden alle noten hun uiteindelijke plek en komt het muzikale avontuur tot een gezamenlijk einde.<\/p><h5 class=\"p1\"><b>Dianto Reed Quintet &amp; Abraham Cupeiro<\/b><\/h5><p class=\"p1\">Het in Amsterdam gevestigde, meervoudig bekroonde Spaanse ensemble Dianto Reed Quintet valt op door de energie die de musici op het podium brengen, in combinatie met een uitzonderlijk hoog muzikaal niveau en een zorgvuldig uitgewerkte scenografie en choreografie voor elk project. Ze traden op in enkele van de meest gerenommeerde concertzalen van Europa, waaronder Het Concertgebouw, TivoliVredenburg, Philharmonie Luxembourg en Wigmore Hall. Hun vernieuwende benadering van het traditionele kamermuziekconcert zorgt voor een diepere verbinding tussen het publiek, het ensemble en de muziek zelf. Onlangs werd het ensemble bekroond met de prestigieuze Kersjesprijs 2024 in Nederland.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">Dianto verkent het thema 'oorsprong\u2019in twee aankomende programma\u2019s \u2013 <i>Echoes of Our Planet<\/i><b> <\/b>en <i>DNA<\/i><b> <\/b>(november<b> <\/b>2025). In <i>Echoes<\/i>werkt het ensemble samen met de inventieve\ninstrumentenbouwer en multi-instrumentalist Abraham Cupeiro. Samen gaan ze op zoek naar de\nwortels van muziek en duiken ze in de oorsprong van een breed scala aan instrumenten.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">Cupeiro oogst internationaal succes met zijn unieke kijk op het fenomeen geluid en werkte samen met prestigieuze orkesten over de hele wereld.
